Empress Locs & Coils
General Price Chart

A deposit fee of $35 is required to book an appointment. The deposThis is to insure that I am compensated for my time.

The deposit is deducted from the overall balance. You are welcome to reschedule your appointment as needed up to 24hrs before scheduled time or cancel for a full refund. Anything less than a 24hr notice including a 'no call no show' will not be honored. A new deposit will be required to secure a new appointment. No exceptions. Please respect my business or move on.

Please arrive on time, not early and bring no more than one support person with you. Please do not bring additional children unless they are being serviced. The work space is limited.

Please understand that you are not my only client and most times I have someone scheduled directly after you. If you arrive late and I still honor your appointment, it means that I may have to 'push back' another client which is an inconvenience for everyone involved. So for every 30 mins late, a $10 fee will be added. If more than an hour late, your appointment will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited. If I am late getting to you because of another appointment, I will deduct $5 for every 30 mins that you are waiting. I respect and appreciate every one of my clients!

I am professional natural hair care specialist. An extra charge may be assessed for overly tangled or matted hair. Prices vary depending on length and texture. Hair is not provided unless agreed upon prior.

Locs

Locs are very important to me. Locs are a statement. Locs are a culture. Locs hold energy as does all hair. Locs are to be nurtured and cared for. Locs are to be loved. I became a loctician because of my father.

Blessings up to Bashiri Stanley!

Locs are a style of hair that is semi permanent meaning that it is done with the intention of keeping in the style for a very long time. Loc'd hair can be compared to a rope(s) and can range in diameter from a noodle (sisterlocs) to a cucumber (wics). Locs can be combed out depending on the size, length, hair health and amount of time that hair has been loc'd (but is not always a possibility).

It can take anywhere between six months to a year for hair to completely loc, which means that it can very easily be used as a style without allowing the hair to loc. If you are deciding to loc your hair permanently, it it suggested that the hair is retwisted/retightened every 4-8 wks, depending on texture, hair health and growth rate.

Below you'll find different loc styles and methods of retwists.

Starter Locs:

Also known as comb twists, can be used to start your loc journey or as a regular style.

Full head $125 & up, Top half $75 & up, Kids $75 & up

Loc Retwist:

Palm roll technique is the most common practice used to retighten, mold and clean up new growth accumulated between sessions. Comes with a 'simple style'. Detailed styles are additional. Inquire.

Full head $75 & up, Top half $50 & up, Kids $50 & up

Interlock:

This practice uses a special needle, sometimes a crochet hook to weave the hair in and out using a 2, 3 or 4 point method locking the hair in place at the root, followed up by the palm roll technique in order to mold & neaten the locs. This creates a sturdier retwist which lasts a lot longer than just the palm roll method alone. It is suggested for those with a finer hair texture.

Full head $150 & up, Top half $75 & up, Kids $75 & up.

Instant Locs aka Crochet Locs:

If you want the gain w/o the pain, then this is the method for you. Using a very small crochet needle, the hair is weaved and molded into locs on the spot. Can be used to add fake locs/faux locs/loc extensions onto your existing locs/hair.

Full head $300 & up, Top half $200 & up, Kids $150 & up.

Generally $10-$20 per loc.

Micro Locs:

Similar to sisterlocs, micro locs are a very small loc that is normally maintained with the interlocking method, but can be also be maintained with palm rolling. These locs can be installed using two-strand twists, coils, braids or the interlocking method itself.

Full head $500 & up, Top half $300 & up, Kids, $350 & up

No Grid, Coils $150 & up

Micro Loc Maintenance:

To be decided per session. Depends on grid (or no grid), length of time between maintenance & method.
